Global Science & Technology, Inc., a fast growing high technology firm, is seeking an experienced IT User Requirements Lead to support a major NASAs NRESS program. The position is located in Arlington/Crystal City, VA.

Position Summary:

The NRESS project supports research in science and technology and is an important part of NASA's overall mission. NASA solicits this research through the release of various research announcements, receipt of proposals, review of proposals, and award selection. This project develops and maintains the system supporting these activities: NSPIRES " the NASA Solicitation and Proposal Integrated Review and Evaluation System (https://nspires.nasaprs.com/external/).

Primary Duties:

  • Engage users and stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document input to define NSPIRES requirements
  • Maintain and manage changes to the requirements and use case baselines
  • Oversee, model, and document NSPIRES requirements-related processes
  • Produce requirements artifacts and materials for all stakeholders
  • Create and maintain requirement models for each release of NSPIRES
  • Work with developers to provide detailed requirements and use cases for implementation
  • Work with testers to provide detailed requirements and use cases for test plans and test cases
  • Work with web developer to develop proof of concepts and prototypes based on new requirements 

Secondary Duties:

  • Support Quality Assurance related activities
  • Support testing and V&V activities
  • Maintain NSPIRES documentation, online help and technical communications 

Required Education/Experience/Skills:

  • B.S./B.A. in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related discipline and a minimum of 5 years of experience developing, maintaining, or supporting Red Hat Linux-based systems.  Appropriate years of relevant experience can substitute for degree
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software and system life cycles          
  • Understanding of basic elements of government contracting
  • Technical writing skills
